Eat Healthy Monday!

With or without meat, be sure to include a protein with every meal and snack. If you’re observing “Meatless Mondays,” and don’t consume eggs, milk or cheese, some other foods packed with protein include:
1. Soybeans (Soy Milk, Tofu, Tempeh, Edamame)
2. Oats & Oatmeal
3. Lentils
4. Beans & Legumes (Garbanzo, Kidney, Black, Pinto Beans)
5. Green Peas
6. Nuts/Nut Butter & Seeds (Hempseed, Chia, Flaxseed)
7. Quinoa & Amaranth (8-9 grams/cooked cup)
8. Vegetables (Broccoli, spinach, asparagus, artichokes, potatoes, sweet potatoes, sweet corn, Brussel Sprouts)
9. Fruits (bananas, blackberries, nectarines, guava)
10. Wild Rice
11. Spelt & Teff (ancient grains)
12. Spirulina (blue-green algea)
13. Bread made from Sprouted Grains & Legumes (such as Ezekiel Bread)
